ESOL Skills for Life Award in Reading at Entry Level 1 (CAR25S033)

ESOL

Do you want to get better at reading English? Do you want to work with an experienced and friendly tutor? This could be the ideal course for you! By the end of this course you will be confident to : read and understand a short piece of text. You will understand how to construct of a simple sentence. You will know days of the week, family words, dates and times. You will understand common prepositions. You will recognise digits 0 – 9 (used in dates, times telephone numbers and prices). You will confidently recognise the alphabet in both lower and upper case. You must be able to attend classes each week to give you the best chance for success. This qualification is ideal for learners who want to progress and improve all aspects of their English and will leave you in a very good position to study other awards at Entry 1 in the ESOL offer.

Do you want to improve your reading skills? Do you want to join a fun and friendly class? If the answer is yes then this could be the right course for you! By the end of this course your knowledge and skills will have improved and you will be confident to: use prepositions, adverbials and connectives, use knowledge of common words to understand text and find information, use detailed reading to find specific information. If this sounds very complicated do not worry! You will work with an experienced and enthusiastic ESOL tutor and a group of your peers to develop the skills and knowledge to achieve this qualification and be in the best position to move forward with your studies. You need to be able to attend classes each week and complete homework to give you the best chance of success. You will be able to study other awards in the ESOL Skills for Life suite of qualifications on successful completion.
