About the course:
In this course you will learn advanced practices using your iPad such as how to implement individual settings on device, learn new 'gestures', how to use Social Media on your device. It will also include how to stay safe and protect your device, gain a better understanding of how ‘Cloud’ storage works and how to access Microsoft applications, such as Word, with device Specific to Apple iPad Devices - You will learn how to utilise Apple’s own apps Health, FaceTime, Notes, Reminders, Maps and Voice Memos and how to use Pages effectively
How will the course be delivered?
You will work directly with your tutor as part of a small group. The sessions will include discussion and sharing ideas, you will have short tasks to complete and will receive materials to keep and to stimulate your own further learning in the future.
What do I need to bring?
A Notebook and pen and glasses if you need them. Don't forget your fully charged iPad!
What are the entry requirements?
This course is designed for students who may already know the basics and want to learn more, ideally have completed the iPad for Beginners course. Learners should have access to an iPad which they will need to bring with them.
What can I do next?
On successful completion of this course you can progress onto a Nationally Accredited Qualification such as the new Essential Digital Skills Qualification or many of our other Digital Skills courses and workshops.
How well am I doing?
Your Tutor will provide you with regular feedback verbally in lessons and recorded in your Individual Progress Record (IPR) from reviews.
