About the course:
This course is for learners who already paint using watercolour and would like to develop their work further. Through suggested exercises and ideas, you will develop your painting skills by working on a chosen idea or theme. You will experiment with different techniques and colour palettes to produce a series of linked paintings. For example, your chosen theme could be trees with the aim to produce a series of watercolour paintings of the same tree during different seasons or you might prefer animals, and create a series of animal paintings.
How will the course be delivered?
Through detailed step-by-step demonstrations, discussions and regular support and encouragement.
What do I need to bring?
A set of watercolour materials including an A4 or larger sketchbook of watercolour paper, a small set of watercolours, a pencil, masking tape, a board to tape your paper on, kitchen towel, a large brush, a smaller brush and other materials you like to use and experiment with in your paintings. Other materials will be provided for you to experiment with.
