About the course:
In this workshop we will explore block printing, look at some inspirational designs, and then design and cut soft lino to make a printing block to print it by hand.
How will the course be delivered?
This workshop will be delivered face to face. It will be a mixture of tutor demonstration, discussion, experimentation, seeing how others have completed similar tasks and lots of laughter and learning from each other. The tutor will give you feedback and encouragement.
What do I need to bring?
Apron, cutting mat, craft knife and sharp scissors, masking tape, tracing paper, pencil. The tutor will bring an assortment of lino, cutting tools and printing ink.
What are the entry requirements?
No previous experience is necessary, but you need a steady hand to be able to use the cutting tools.

How well am I doing?
At the start of the workshop you will complete an initial assessment to give the tutor an idea of your background and motivation. We will track progress over the day is tracked in an Individual Progress Record. You will receive lots of feedback on your work and during the class with lots of opportunities for questions.
