About the course:
This course is ideal for you if you already have some experience with Excel and want to know more. For example, how to design your spreadsheet, functions and formulas such as IF statement, LOOKUP functions, linking worksheets, more advanced sorts & filters and conditional formatting, giving your worksheets more impact.
How will the course be delivered?
Online via zoom, You will work directly with your tutor as part of a small group. The sessions will include discussion and sharing ideas, you will have short tasks to complete and will receive materials to keep and to stimulate your own further learning in the future.
*This is an online course delivered using Zoom, in real time with live interaction with your tutor and fellow learners. Learners will join the class from home and be able to exchange and interact with other learners as they would in the classroom (speaking and listening). Learners will be required to turn on their camera throughout the session for safeguarding compliance. There will be a discussion and demonstration. You will have opportunities to discuss and ask questions- this is an interactive course with the Tutor present throughout.
What do I need to bring?
You will need access to a PC or laptop with webcam, mouse and a stable internet connection. You may want to use headphones with a microphone. Ideally you will have Microsoft Excel but you can also use other spreadsheet software. You might find a pen and notebook handy to take notes.
What are the entry requirements?
Learners should be able to use a PC, be familiar with the use of a mouse & keyboard and should already be able to use Excel at a basic level in order to create simple documents. Ideally completed Beginners Excel course.
What can I do next?
On successful completion of this course you can progress onto the Advanced Excel, or the Nationally Accredited Qualification such as the new Essential Digital Skills Qualification or many of our other Digital Skills courses and workshops.
How well am I doing?
Your Tutor will provide you with regular feedback verbally in lessons and recorded in your Individual Progress Record (IPR) from reviews.
