About the course:
This course is for learners who are looking to work towards the ESOL – Pre Entry (My local area) or improve their level of English for everyday life and the world of work or volunteering.
How will the course be delivered?
Your tutor will use a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles to help you achieve your full potential. This course will be taught in a classroom in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, where your individual needs are catered for. Teaching, learning and assessment are carried out through taught sessions, discussion, and group work. You will be supported to learn with worksheets, role-play, activity cards, games, practise papers, homework, evaluation and feedback. You will benefit if you are able to complete work outside of class time and access to a laptop or tablet would be useful.
What do I need to bring?
Pen, notebook and folder.
What are the entry requirements?
No previous formal qualifications are required for entry to this course. Before you can enrol, you will need to have an initial assessment to make sure the course is right for you. If you already study with us, your current tutor can help you.

How well am I doing?
You will receive feedback from the tutor and an individual progress record. You will be supported to set targets so you can keep track of your achievements.
Additional transferable skills:
Basic speaking, listening, reading and writing skills will be developed. Study skills will improve as will independent thinking skills and problem-solving skills
