About the course:
This course is suitable for learners who would like to learn how to use Publisher at a basic level to create documents such as posters, cards and newsletters. By the end of the course learners will be able to open, save & close a Publisher document, Create text boxes, add text and format it, as well as create and format shapes, add images and format them.
How will the course be delivered?
You will work directly with your tutor as part of a small group covering the course aims. Your tutor will feed back to you throughout each session on your progress.
*This is an online course delivered using Zoom, in real time with live interaction with your tutor and fellow learners. Learners will join the class from home and be able to exchange and interact with other learners as they would in the classroom (speaking and listening). Learners will be required to turn on their camera throughout the session for safeguarding compliance. There will be a discussion and demonstration. You will have opportunities to discuss and ask questions- this is an interactive course with the Tutor present throughout.
What do I need to bring?
You might find a pen and notebook handy to take notes and if you wear glasses don't forget to bring those too.
What are the entry requirements?
A familiarity with Microsoft Office would be an advantage. You may have already completed the Introduction to IT, a Beginners Computer course or have some computer experience already from either the workplace or personal use.

On successful completion of this course you can progress onto Desktop Publishing for Improvers, the Nationally Accredited Qualification such as the new Essential Digital Skills Qualification or many of our other Digital Skills courses and workshops

Your Tutor will provide you with regular feedback verbally in lessons and recorded in your Individual Progress Record (IPR) from reviews.
