About the course:
This traditional technique from The Isle of Man is perfect for beginners. Similar in appearance to log cabin quilting this style of patch working traditionally uses fabric scraps and is hand sewn with running stitch. No special tools or equipment are needed, not even a ruler. Learn how to make a basic panel and use this as a starting point to create your own stunning Manx quilt cushion, quilt or throw.
How will the course be delivered?
This course will be delivered face to face by our fantastic art tutor Karen Akers.
What do I need to bring?
Some sewing tools and fabric are supplied but it would be useful to bring your own pieces of fabric ready to be cut into strips along with sewing needles, scissors and sewing thread.
