About the course:
You will learn different skills, techniques and use a large variety of methods of mark making and drawing to discover your own style. You will be inspired by traditional and contemporary art to see what can be possible when you experiment with multi media drawing.
How will the course be delivered?
This course will be delivered online using Zoom. You will need a stable internet connection on a good-sized screen and a camera or microphone. The course will be taught by local artist Christine Stanford who has over 20 years experience in mixed media and regularly exhibits her stunning creations.
*This is an online course delivered using Zoom, in real time with live interaction with your tutor and fellow learners. Learners will join the class from home and be able to exchange and interact with other learners as they would in the classroom (speaking and listening). Learners will be required to turn on their camera throughout the session for safeguarding compliance. There will be a discussion and demonstration. You will have opportunities to discuss and ask questions- this is an interactive course with the Tutor present throughout.
What do I need to bring?
Pencils, rubber, ruler, sketch book and paper. Christine will advise you after enrolment.
What are the entry requirements?
You will need fairly good drawing skills and want to build on them, by challenging yourself to try out different styles and techniques. Being open to more than traditional drawing methods is an essential.

Your tutor will tell you how you are doing in your lessons and your progress will be recorded in your Individual Progress Record. You will work with your tutor to identify any areas that you want to improve, and your tutor will support you to achieve your goals.
