About the course:
Each session will start with tips and suggestions for the weekly focus, from quick sketching, drawing techniques, thumbnail sketches, note taking, experimenting , composition, recording observations and developing ideas. We will look at how different artists use sketchbooks to explore and develop ideas and drawings. For a few of the sessions, weather permitting, you will go outside to sketch and develop your sketch book further from observation. You will also be introduced to different sketchbook formats. Demonstrations, guidance and encouragement will be provided by the tutor to help you develop your confidence and fill up your sketchbook.
