About the course:
Come and learn how to draw! Here, Karen teaches drawing using exercises that give you practice in the five basic skills of drawing in a way that helps you build skills in a sensible way, reinforcing the way our brains work. She has taught many students how to draw in this way with amazing results! We will explore edges, space and relationships over the course.
How will the course be delivered?
This course will be delivered face-to-face. It will be a mixture of tutor demonstration, discussion, experimentation, seeing how others have completed similar tasks and lots of learning from each other. The tutor will give you feedback and encouragement.
What do I need to bring?
Table cover, apron, 2B, 4B and 6B pencils, charcoal sticks, putty rubber and eraser, A4 sized sketchbook. Sheet of acetate, masking tape and 2 x A4 sheets card, dry wipe black marker pen and scissors. A copy of Betty Edwards' book 'Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain Workbook' which we will use in class and for homework.

Move onto Beginners Drawing term 2 and 3.
How well am I doing?
At the start of each term you will complete an initial assessment to identify areas of improvement which is tracked in your Individual Progress Record. Every session, you will receive feedback on your homework and during the class with lots of opportunities for questions.
