About the course:
Each session will start with tips and reminders for developing basic drawing skills: including tone, form, line, texture and perspective. We will also aim to complete a drawing with a watercolour wash within the session. We will cover still life, trees, animals, buildings and figures in the landscape. You will be provided with step-by-step instructions and demonstrations from your tutor, to help you build your confidence.
How will the course be delivered?
Through detailed step-by-step demonstrations, discussions and regular support and encouragement.
What do I need to bring?
Basic sketching and drawing materials: A3 or larger cartridge paper or a sketch book (or a roll of wall-paper lining paper) with a board to rest on, a range of drawing pencils (HB, 2B, 4B and 6B), eraser, pencil sharpener, piece or charcoal. Other materials will be provided for you to also try.
What are the entry requirements?
No formal entry requirements. However, a little knowledge of drawing techniques would be useful.
