About the course:
This is a great course for Adults who are interested in gaining basic knowledge and developing key skills in how to use a computer. How to manage files and folders, create and edit documents, know how to search the internet and send an email as well understanding how to be safe and secure online.
How will the course be delivered?
You will work directly with your tutor as part of a small group covering the course aims. Your tutor will feed back to you throughout each session on your progress.
What do I need to bring?
A Notebook and pen and glasses if you need them. You could also bring a memory stick (USB/flashdrive) to save your work to if you like.
What are the entry requirements?
This course is designed for students who have basic computer knowledge and would like to gain confidence. Learners should already have some knowledge of using a PC, ideally already completed an Introduction to IT course.
What can I do next?
On successful completion of this course you can progress onto one of our Pre-entry qualifications, or the Nationally Accredited Qualification, Essential Digital Skills Qualification, or many of our other Digital Skills courses and workshops.
How well am I doing?
Your Tutor will provide you with regular feedback verbally in lessons and recorded in your Individual Progress Record (IPR) from reviews.
