About the course:
This short qualification course will enhance your knowledge and understanding of the importance of healthy living and how it supports both physical and mental health. You will learn about the factors that may affect physical and mental health and the health conditions that may occur. You will consider how food and diet may impact health, and look at the benefits of different types of physical activity.
How will the course be delivered?
The course will be delivered by one of our specialist tutors.
Activities will often include discussions, group and pair work, written work, Q&A and worksheets. Your tutor will ensure that the lessons are engaging, interactive and supportive.
There is a short multiple choice test at the end of this course which you must pass in order to achieve the Entry Level 3 Award in Healthy Living for Wellbeing and Mental Health.
What do I need to bring?
You need to bring a pen, notebook and any other items guided by your tutor.
If your course is in our online classroom (Zoom) you will need a computer, smart phone or tablet and a good internet connection.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no formal entry requirements, just a commitment to attend every session and to contribute your ideas and enthusiasm to the group. You will complete an initial assessment to ensure that the course is the right level for you.
What can I do next?

At the end of your course your tutor will discuss the options for further learning with you.
How well am I doing?
Your tutor will feedback to you verbally and in written comments in a supportive and constructive way helping you to see how to improve. There is a multiple choice test at the end of this course which you must pass in order to gain the qualification and your tutor will prepare you for this by practising exam techniques and questions before the test.
You will also have a Individual Progress Record (IPR) to track your progress and enable you to set personal targets.
