This course is for those with a good level of ICT knowledge and skills. It further expands and develops at a higher level the skills and knowledge gained from the beginners course in how to use a computer.  You will use Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word as well as the internet, email and manage folders at a more advanced level to increase your competency in using a computer.

Do you want to get better at reading English? Do you want to work with an experienced and friendly tutor? This could be the ideal course for you! By the end of this course you will be confident to : read and understand a short piece of text. You will understand how to construct of a simple sentence. You will know days of the week, family words, dates and times. You will understand common prepositions. You will recognise digits 0 – 9 (used in dates, times telephone numbers and prices). You will confidently recognise the alphabet in both lower and upper case. You must be able to attend classes each week to give you the best chance for success. This qualification is ideal for learners who want to progress and improve all aspects of their English and will leave you in a very good position to study other awards at Entry 1 in the ESOL offer.
