By the end of this course you will be confident to : read and understand a short piece of text. You will understand how to construct of a simple sentence. You will know days of the week, family words, dates and times. You will understand common prepositions. You will recognise digits 0 – 9 (used in dates, times telephone numbers and prices). You will confidently recognise the alphabet in both lower and upper case. You must be able to attend classes each week to give you the best chance for success. You will work with an experienced and supportive ESOL tutor to gain the skills and knowledge you need to achieve the ESOL Skills for Life Award in Reading at Entry Level 3. You will be asked to complete homework and additional independent study too, this is really important to allow you to do well and achieve your potential.
