About the course
This course is ideal for those who are interested in gaining basic knowledge on how to use Microsoft Word. By the end of this course you will be able to create and save documents, enter and edit text, use formatting tools to modify the appearance of text, change the setup of documents including page orientation and margin settings. You will also be able to use cut, copy and paste techniques as well as create and edit a simple table all within the Microsoft Office Word application.
How the course will be delivered
You will work directly with your tutor as part of a small group covering the course aims. Your tutor will feed back to you throughout each session on your progress.
What you'll need to bring
A Notebook and pen and glasses if you need them. You could also bring a memory stick (USB/flash drive) to save your work to if you like.
Entry requirements
A familiarity with Microsoft Office would be an advantage. You may have already completed the Introduction to IT, a Beginners Computer course or have some computer experience already from either the workplace or personal use. Ideally you have Microsoft Word on your PC or laptop to be able to create the documents which will be used to cover the evidence requirements of the course.
