About the course:

Create a lovely up cycled Christmas tree decoration or room hanging decoration. Using scraps of fabrics, you will hand sew a lovely personal item to brighten the festive season!

How will the course be delivered?

This is a creative one off workshop delivered by our highly experienced textiles tutor Claire Trelfa, the Community Learning and Skills tutor for Textiles. Claire has 20 years’ experience in teaching fashion and textiles and is a textile creative practitioner.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring thread to sew with, needles and scissors. Ribbon for hanging. Fabric for sewing - this can be old textiles such as clothing or duvet cover/pillow cases.

What are the entry requirements?

A desire to create something beautiful for Christmas from textiles you may have otherwise thrown away.

How well am I doing?

Your tutor will tell you how you are doing in the workshop along with the creative examples you have done. Your tutor will support you to achieve your goals.
