About the course
This course looks at the additional challenges that older workers face when looking for work. It will help you to identify the types of work you are looking for, give you the skills to apply for jobs online and prepare you for different types of interview. You will focus on building your confidence so you can enter the workplace as a valuable older worker with the skills and behaviours that employers are crying out for. Please note that you do not need to be over 50 to attend this course, younger learners are always welcome.
How the course will be delivered
The course will be delivered by one of our specialist employability tutors. You will be taught in one of our centres or in our virtual classroom (via Zoom). During the course you will complete a range of activities. These will often include discussions, group and pair work, written work, Q&A and worksheets. Your tutor will ensure that the lessons are engaging, interactive and supportive.
What you'll need to bring
Face-to-face You must bring your own pen to each session. If you wear glasses don't forget to bring those too. Online You will need access to a computer or tablet and the internet for each session. You may want to use headphones with a microphone.
