About the course:
The focus will be on experimentation and developing new skills to unlock your creativity. At the end of each session you will be able to reflect and evaluate on the positive benefits that engaging in creative activities can have on mental health and wellbeing.
How will the course be delivered?
Our tutor Katie will demonstrate and guide you through the different techniques and processes and you will get lots of support and encouragement. All sessions will be practical and are planned to be flexible and relaxed.
What do I need to bring?
You do not need to buy any materials ahead of the course as basic resources to get you started will be supplied. Katie will discuss with you the most suitable resources to buy to help you continue your creative journey.
What are the entry requirements?
This course is ideal for beginners who are curious about art or feel that taking time to be creative can help to boost their wellbeing. No prior knowledge is needed, just an interest in art and a willingness to have a go and be creative.
What can I do next?
This course could lead to an art course focusing on a specific skill/technique or further wellbeing courses which may be focused around other areas than art.
How well am I doing?
Your tutor will give you regular feedback during your course. You will also complete an Individual Progress Record (IPR) to track your progress.
