About the course

This course focuses on how to prepare for returning to the workplace. With support you will recognise your own skills, experience, attitudes and interests and identify how they are relevant and can be used when applying for jobs. You will gain knowledge about the importance of setting goals and targets within the workplace and will understand the importance of good social media etiquette. You will create an effective CV which reflects your skills, experience and behaviours and know how to keep it updated.

How the course will be delivered

The course will be delivered by one of our specialist employability tutors. During the course you will complete a range of activities. These will often include discussions, group and pair work, written work, Q&A and worksheets. Your tutor will ensure that the lessons are engaging, interactive and supportive.

What you'll need to bring

Face-to-face You must bring your own pen to each session. If you have a CV bring it along either on paper or electronically. Online You will need access to a computer or tablet and the internet for each session. You may want to use headphones with a microphone. If you have a CV bring it with you electronically.

Entry requirements

There are no specific entry requirements for this course however before attending it is a good idea to gather information that you may want to include on your CV e.g. employment history, qualifications etc.
