About the course:
This course is suitable for learners who would like to learn how to use PowerPoint at a basic level. By the end of the course learners will be able to open, save & close a PowerPoint document. Be able to create new slides, add a theme, create text boxes, add text and format it as well as add images, shapes, slide transitions and simple animated effects.How will the course be delivered?
You will work directly with your tutor as part of a small group covering the course aims. Your tutor will feed back to you throughout each session on your progress.
What do I need to bring?
A Notebook and pen and glasses if you need them. You could also bring a memory stick (USB/flash drive) to save your work to if you like.
What are the entry requirements?
A familiarity with Microsoft Office would be an advantage. You may have already completed the Introduction to IT, a Beginners Computer course or have some computer experience already from either the workplace or personal use. Ideally you have Microsoft PowerPoint on your PC or laptop to be able to create the documents.
What can I do next?
On successful completion of this course you can progress onto PowerPoint for Improvers, the Nationally Accredited Qualification such as the new Essential Digital Skills Qualification or many of our other Digital Skills courses and workshops.
How well am I doing?
Your Tutor will provide you with regular feedback verbally in lessons and recorded in your Individual Progress Record (IPR) from reviews.
