About the course:

Discover how maths and creativity come together in this hands-on textile course. You’ll use key maths skills such as measuring, calculating area, symmetry, and geometry to design and make your own textile piece—like a cushion, bag, or wall hanging. Each session includes step-by-step guidance on appliqué, hand stitching, layering, and decorative techniques. You'll also learn how to create and adapt patterns using accurate measurements and planning, applying practical maths at every stage of your project.

How will the course be delivered?

This course will be delivered face to face by our fantastic art tutor Christine Stanford.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring sewing tools (needles scissors and embroidery threads) if you have them. Basic tools, fabrics and threads are supplied.
