About the course
You will explore the well-known children’s story, ‘The Gingerbread Man’, making resources related to the story to add to a Story Box to take home and enjoy with your young child. If story boxes are new to you, you will be supported making one through every step. A story box is a box containing a variety of resources and activities relating to a particular story, all designed to bring the story to life. In your box, you will make a jigsaw and a game as well as other resources e.g. characters from the story, or indeed anything that could be used to retell and enjoy the story with your young child.
How the course will be delivered
Your tutor will guide and support you through the steps of making a Story Box, with or without your young child, aged between 3 and 5.
What you'll need to bring
Resources and materials will be provided.
Entry requirements
This course is for parents and carers of children aged between 3 and 5. You do not need any prior qualifications but you will need to be able to speak and understand basic English. The tutor can support individual needs.
