About the course:

Focusing on the colours, textures and shapes of foliage and flowers we will develop loose expressive watercolours. Building on your existing watercolour painting experience with watercolour this course will provide you with the skills which will help you to continue to grow as a watercolour painter. During the course you we will visit various approaches and methods such as working with a limited palette, natural paints and using the plants themselves to add elements of monoprint to your painting.

How will the course be delivered?

The course will be delivered via a mixture of tutor demonstration, discussion and experimentation, building your confidence and leading towards an independently created final piece of artwork.

What do I need to bring?

Materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring any materials that you would prefer to use.

What are the entry requirements?

Ideally you will have completed a beginners art course within the last 1-2 years or be able to show equivalent knowledge and skills e.g. from other prior learning

You can continue your art journey with any of the other classes we have on offer. This could lead to an art course focusing on a specific skill or technique or a creative arts qualification. How well am I doing?

You will be taught by Karen our highly qualified art tutor. Throughout the course she will give you feedback and encouragement. You will also complete an Individual Progress Report (IPR) to track your progress.
