About the course:
Learn how to bring colour, form, and detail to life in a loose, expressive style, creating a strong sense of atmosphere in your paintings. You’ll experiment with different paint application techniques while exploring the importance of values, layers, and composition to enhance your work. Let your creativity flow as you work towards painting an independent watercolour study in week 5.
How will the course be delivered?
The course will be delivered through a combination of tutor demonstrations, group discussions, and hands-on experimentation, helping you build your confidence and progress towards an independently created final artwork.
What do I need to bring?
There’s no need to purchase materials before the course begins. Basic resources will be provided to get you started, and Karen will guide you in selecting the best materials for your continued artistic journey.
What are the entry requirements?
Ideally, you will have completed the beginner’s watercolour course within the past 1-2 years or possess equivalent knowledge and skills from other prior learning.
