About the course

This course is an improvers drawing course for those with some experience and knowledge of drawing. We will explore drawing with a variety of mediums such as drawing pencils, coloured pencils, ink pens and charcoal. You will cover the seven elements of drawing over the 3 terms – line, shape, form, space, value, colour and texture. Working from observation e.g. a still life, and drawing exercises you will build upon your drawing skills, mark making, composition and colour theory. There will be a focus on drawing exercises and experimenting with the different mediums rather producing finished or perfect results. Working as a group and individually, you will receive help, guidance and encouragement you to find your own pace, confidence and style. The overall emphasis is on being creative in a relaxed and informal environment.

How the course will be delivered

The sessions will be face to face in a classroom. Still life models will be provided for you.

What you'll need to bring
