About the course:

This course uses mixed media as a powerful way to explore both art and English. Through poems, short stories, and other texts, you’ll discover how language can inspire visual creativity. You’ll develop your drawing and mark-making skills while experimenting with a variety of materials. Along the way, you’ll learn to use composition, texture, and colour to bring literary ideas to life in your artwork. Whether you're passionate about words, images, or both, this course offers a unique space to express yourself through the combined power of English and art.

How will the course be delivered?

This course will be delivered face to face by our fantastic art tutor Christine Stanford.

What do I need to bring?

Basic materials will be provided. Please bring along drawing pencils (B, 2B) and a pad of good quality cartridge paper if you have them.

There are no specific entry requirements for this course.
