About the course
By the end of the course you will be better able to: Follow instructions, make relevant contributions to discussions, express simple views clearly, follow the gist of simple verbal communication, obtain necessary information from simple verbal communication for a given task to allow you to achieve a qualification. Your confidence levels will have improved and, hopefully, you will feel inspired to continue your studies.
How the course will be delivered
Your tutor will use a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles to ensure you achieve your full potential. This course will be taught in a relaxed and informal atmosphere, where your individual needs are catered for. Teaching, learning and assessment are carried out through formally taught sessions, discussion, and group work, supported with worksheets, role-play, activity cards, games, practise papers, homework, evaluation and feedback. You must be able to complete work outside of class time and access to a laptop or tablet would be useful.

Entry requirements
No previous formal qualifications are required for entry to this qualification at Entry Level 1. Before you can enrol, you will need to have an initial assessment to make sure the course is suitable for you. You can contact your centre to arrange for this to take place. If you already study with us, your current tutor can help you. Please make sure you can attend classes regularly, every class if you can, because this gives you the best chance of succeeding and improving your English skills.
