About the course:

This workshop will show you how best to structure your CV and what information should and should not be included. During the workshop you will discuss how to write an effective personal statement pitched to a specific job role. You will learn how to deal with gaps in a CV and how to choose and add referees.

How will the course be delivered?

The workshop will be delivered by one of our specialist tutors.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring information about your working career and qualifications to date (including dates where possible). If you already have a CV, please bring it with you either physically or digitally (cloud or USB). You will also need pen and paper or notebook. If your workshop is in our online classroom (Zoom) you will need a computer, smart phone or tablet and a good internet connection

What are the entry requirements?

None, however you will need good basic IT skills to get the most out of the workshop.

What can I do next?

On completion of this workshop you can progress to many other Employability courses and workshops including courses on searching and applying for work and interview/presentation skills. You may also choose to progress to an English, maths or IT course.

Your tutor will feed back to you throughout the workshop on your progress.
