About the course
It is no secret that the foods we eat and how they are prepared can have a measurable impact on our wellbeing. In this course you will explore the connections between physical and mental health and the meals we create. You will learn how to choose and measure ingredients, safely prepare and save food, safely use cooking equipment, time your cooking, and present and eat your finished meal. This course is suitable if you are new to cooking for yourself and/or your family or have spent a period of time not cooking and want to refresh your skills.
How the course will be delivered
Your course will be taught in one of our local learning spaces. The sessions will include preparing and making food and sharing good practice. We will have discussions and you will have short tasks to complete. You will receive materials and ideas to keep, to help you with budgeting in the future.
What you'll need to bring
All equipment and ingredients will be provided. If you have one, please bring an apron.
