The objective of this qualification is to: provide learners with knowledge and understanding of the principles of cyber security.

Entry requirements

This qualification is designed for those looking to gain a greater understanding of, or build upon their existing knowledge of Cyber Security issues. Registration is at the discretion of the centre, in accordance with equality legislation, and should be made on the Portal. However, learners should be aged 19 or above to undertake this qualification. There is no specific prior knowledge a learner must have for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they’ve already achieved a Level 1 or 2 Digital Skills or Information Technology qualifications.
