About the course:

t has been designed to make learners aware of the LGBT history and culture and the organisational policies and legislation affecting LGBT people in the workplace.

It also explores the impact of language, stereotyping and assumptions relating to LGBT people and considers how learners can best contribute to maintaining a supportive workplace environment for LGBT people.

How will the course be delivered?

Online Only - Using Online Learning material and submitting answers on an online portal.

What do I need to bring?

On enrolment you will need to upload ID, any benefits or proof of residency as they are funded courses and you need to prove eligibility.

What are the entry requirements?

No specific qualifications required but a good knowledge of english and potential background knowledge of subject might be good.

What can I do next?

On completion of the Skillsfirst Level 2 Certificate in LGBT Inclusion in the Workplace (RQF), it might be possible to progress into further learning, employment or onto Skillsfirst vocationally based qualifications, such as the:

Skillsfirst Level 1 Certificate in Maintaining Personal Well-being at Work (RQF)

Skillsfirst Level 1 Certificate in Personal and Social Development (RQF)

NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Equality and Diversity

or similar vocationally based qualifications.

How well am I doing?

You will be allocated a tutor who will keep in touch and provide robust written feedback on each of your units and let you know if you have passed. If you don’t quite meet the criteria your tutor will guide you and you can resubmit units until you show competency and understanding.
