About the course:
Unit 1 summary:
In this unit, learners will learn about the principles of lean organisation techniques, how lean organisation techniques and lean production differ, and the benefits of a lean environment in a business context. Learners will also learn about how a productivity needs analysis is formulated, how to map a process using symbols and terminology, and how the process of mapping can be evaluated to identify areas for improvement.
Unit 2 summary:
In this unit, learners will learn about the Kaizen concept and its main principles, the contribution of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in sustaining improvements, and techniques to assess workplace organisation. Learners will also learn about how to identify improvements to visual management of a workplace, and the principles and benefits of standard working documents and methods.
Unit 3 summary:
In this unit, learners will learn about how teams are structured, the advantages of teamwork, and the impact that different leadership styles have on a team. Learners will also learn about the role of a team leader, and how team leaders can use motivation as a way of maximising team effectiveness.
