About the course:
Unit 1 summary:
In this unit, learners will explore the three main sectors within the events industry. They will learn about the role of an event planner in term of the responsibilities that they have, and the skills required. Learners will explore what is involved in planning an event and how to plan for contingencies. Learners will also be taught about the necessity of health, safety, and security measures.
Unit 2 summary:
In Unit 2, learners will discover the importance of reviews and evaluation and how this benefits those involved. They will explore the different methods in which this can be done and the value of each one. Learners will learn how to plan the evaluation for an event using the tools and methods that they now know.
Unit 3 summary:
In this unit, learners will explore why market research is so important and discover how target audiences differ between events. They will look at the different methods that can be used for marketing and discover the suitability of each method for different target audiences. Learners will then explore what they need to do to plan marketing for an event.
Unit 4 summary:
In Unit 4, learners will look at how events are managed and what makes up a management team. Learners will then explore what teams there are in event planning and how they contribute to this. The different human resources that are required for an event are then explored, focusing on their main roles and responsibilities.
Unit 5 summary:
In this unit, learners will look at communication and learn about the importance of this in regard to events. Equality and diversity are then explored, and learners will take a look at the main legislation that relates to this. Learners will look at the importance of customer service and explore what is involved and how it can be implemented. Learners will also learn how to produce guidance to ensure that staff deliver the expected standards.
