About the course:

Do you fancy getting creative during the festive season and make your own textile based Christmas cards, gifts and decorations for your friends, family or just for yourself? Have fun on this textile course where you will learn a variety of textile crafts and skills, inspired by Christmas imagery, colours and traditions.

How will the course be delivered?

You will be taught face to face by our tutor Karen who has a degree in textile design and more than 25 years’ experience in education.

What do I need to bring?

You do not need to buy any materials ahead of the course, basic resources to get you started will be supplied and Karen will discuss with you the most suitable resources to buy to help you continue your creative journey.

What are the entry requirements?

No experience necessary, just an interest in art and textile design and a passion for creativity.

What can I do next?

You can continue your art journey with any of the other classes we have on offer. This could lead to an art course focusing on a specific skill or technique or a creative arts qualification. Information, advice & guidance is available from your tutor to help identify the best follow-on course for you.

How well am I doing?

Throughout the course your tutor will give you feedback and encouragement. You will also complete an Individual Progress Report (IPR) to track your progress.
