About the course

Surface & Texture is a beginner-friendly watercolour course that introduces the fundamentals of watercolour painting through close observation and exploration of surfaces and textures. You will experiment with paint, water, and mark-making to capture the look and feel of a variety of textures, from natural surfaces to everyday objects. Through guided, step-by-step activities, you’ll learn simple watercolour techniques that help create visual interest, depth, and atmosphere. The course encourages playful experimentation and develops creative confidence in a relaxed and supportive environment, making it ideal for those new to watercolour or looking to refresh their skills.
