About the course

Beginners Watercolours – Expressive Landscapes is a course designed to explore watercolour painting in a relaxed and encouraging setting. Over weekly 2-hour sessions, learners will be guided through essential watercolour techniques such as washes, layering, colour mixing and mark-making, using landscape themes as inspiration. The course encourages an expressive approach, allowing participants to explore atmosphere, movement and personal responses to place. Clear step-by-step demonstrations help to build skills and confidence at a comfortable pace. No previous experience is required — the emphasis is on enjoyment, experimentation and discovering the expressive potential of watercolour.
