About the course
The Workshop offers a calming, creative introduction to the vibrant world of silk painting. Designed especially for those with little or no artistic experience, the course guides learners through each stage of the process, from planning a simple design to applying resist lines and working with specialist silk dyes. You will explore how colour flows and blends on silk, experiment with pattern and texture, and learn how to control or embrace the natural movement of the dyes. The atmosphere is relaxed and supportive, encouraging learners to enjoy the process, build confidence, and express their own style.By the end of the course, each learner will have designed and painted a beautiful square silk scarf to take home—either as a personal keepsake or a handmade gift—along with the foundational skills to continue exploring silk painting independently.
