About the course:
Explore the art of collage in this fun and accessible course. Alongside layering textures, combining materials, and experimenting with colour and composition, you'll discover the expressive power of text. Learn how to incorporate words, phrases, and typography into your collages—whether through hand-lettering, printed materials, or found text—to add depth, meaning, and storytelling to your pieces. Each session introduces simple techniques—from paper layering and found-object collage to adding paint, ink, and textual elements—helping you build confidence and develop your own artistic style.
How will the course be delivered?
This course will be delivered face to face by our amazing Art tutor Amy. There will be a mixture of tutor demonstration, discussion and hands-on creative activities to help you develop your skills and confidence.
What do I need to bring?
All equipment will be provided, but if you have old magazines, newspapers, or photographs you’d like to use within your artwork please feel free to bring them.
What are the entry requirements?
This class is suitable for complete beginners or those with some experience; all you need is a passion for art and a creative mindset.
