About the course

The course will introduce you to different types of charcoal and the ways it can be combined with different water-colour techniques (washes, layering, wet-in-wet, masking, wax resist, scraping and using cling-film for textures.) With step-by-step instructions, learners will be shown how these can be applied to create dramatic skies, mountains, trees and rocks. You will then use these techniques to build up an atmospheric landscape.

How the course will be delivered
