About the course:

Suitable for beginners and those with a little experience. On this course you will learn to mix colours, tones and correct values, painting and drawing abstract and figurative pieces that explore the importance of colour in art. We will use a variety of painting and drawing media such as paint, pastels and pencils building a sketchbook and folio of colour explorations.

How will the course be delivered?

The course will be delivered via a mixture of tutor demonstration, discussion and experimentation. Building your confidence and leading towards you creating independent art work.

What do I need to bring?

There’s no need to purchase any materials before the course—essential supplies to get you started will be provided. Karen will also guide you in choosing the most suitable resources to support your artistic journey moving forward.

What are the entry requirements?

You'll be taught by Karen our highly qualified art tutor. The course will be delivered via a mixture of tutor demonstration, discussion and experimentation, building your confidence and leading towards an independently created final piece of artwork.
