About the course:

You will be introduced to a range of artists, who focus on drawing whilst also including mixed media to create exciting art. The course will encourage you to experiment with lots of different materials whilst keeping a focus on improving your drawing skills. For example, we will look at using more traditional drawing media (graphite, pencils, charcoal, pastels) on different supports, such as textured paper, collage, newspaper and painted backgrounds. The aim is to really enjoy being creative whilst trying out lots of new media. This allows you to decide whether these different materials are for you before making expensive purchases. With step-by-step instructions and suggestions, learners will be shown how these combined techniques and materials can be used to develop textures, atmosphere and creative pieces of art.

How will the course be delivered?
