About the course
This is a great course for Adults who are interested in gaining basic knowledge and developing key skills in how to use a computer. How to manage files and folders, create and edit documents, know how to search the internet and send an email as well understanding how to be safe and secure online.
How the course will be delivered
You will work directly with your tutor as part of a small group covering the course aims. Your tutor will feed back to you throughout each session on your progress.
What you'll need to bring
A Notebook and pen and glasses if you need them. You could also bring a memory stick (USB/flashdrive) to save your work to if you like.
Entry requirements
Basic IT skills are advisable; this course is designed for students who have basic computer knowledge and would like to gain skills and confidence. Learners should be able to use a PC, be familiar with the use of a mouse & keyboard and should already be able to use Microsoft Office at a basic level in order to create simple documents which will be used to cover the evidence requirements of the course. Ideally, learners will have completed the ‘Introduction to IT’ course.
