About the course:

If you’ve ever wanted to learn to draw and paint with confidence but weren’t sure how, this course will take you step by step, through simple line drawing and beyond to painting with confidence using a variety of techniques and styles. In drawing you will use far more than a pencil, and in painting you will use a variety of media and discover how to mix any colour with confidence and apply paint in different ways. You will be inspired by traditional and contemporary artists and find a style of your own. The course is relaxed and fun and a must for beginners.

How will the course be delivered?

The course will be delivered face to face in a small group setting, with a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

What do I need to bring?

Initially, you will need a selection of pencils, a rubber and an A4 sketchbook. When you move on to painting, we will talk about inexpensive sets that can be bought from local outlets.

What are the entry requirements?

You will need an interest in drawing and painting and will want to try out different styles and techniques. Being open to more than traditional drawing and painting methods is essential.
