About the course:
This course is a 7-week journey into the world of art, designed to deepen your understanding and enjoyment of various art styles, techniques, and movements. Each week covers a unique theme: from the fundamentals of art and its history to interpreting visual narratives, exploring diverse cultures, and discovering modern and contemporary art. The course combines engaging discussions with hands-on activities to help you connect with art and integrate its appreciation into your everyday life. By the end, participants will gain a comprehensive perspective on art's role across time, society, and personal experiences. No prior knowledge of Art History needed!
How will the course be delivered?
This course will be delivered face to face by our amazing Art tutor Amy. There will be a mixture of tutor demonstration, discussion and hands-on creative activities to help you develop your skills and confidence.
What do I need to bring?
No equipment is required, but you may want to bring a notebook and pen to take notes if you’d like.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no specific entry requirements for this course, just a passion for art and a willingness to have a go.

How well am I doing?
You will be taught by Amy our highly qualified art tutor. Throughout the course she will give you feedback and encouragement. You will also complete an Individual Progress Report (IPR) to track your progress.
