About the course

This short course focuses on the basic concepts of sustainability at a personal, local and global scale. You will learn about sustainable development, why natural resources are important and how global agriculture and industry effects us all. You will find out about the benefits of sustainable communities and consider your own role in making sustainable choices

How the course will be delivered

The course will be delivered by one of our specialist tutors. You will be taught in one of our centres or in our virtual classroom (via Zoom).

Activities will often include discussions, group and pair work, written work, Q&A and worksheets. Your tutor will ensure that the lessons are engaging, interactive and supportive.

What you'll need to bring

You need to bring a pen, notebook and any other items guided by your tutor. If your course is in our online classroom (Zoom) you will need a computer, smart phone or tablet and a good internet connection.

Entry requirements

As this is a level 2 course you should have an English qualification at entry level 3 or above. This could be a GCSE or an equivalent such as a functional skills qualification. You will also need to undertake an initial assessment to determine if this is the right level for you.
