About the course
Each week, you will be introduced to a different media and be taught the basic techniques and skills needed. There will be a chance to try charcoal, oil pastels, soft pastels, drawing pencils, watercolour pencils and paint. There will then be the opportunity to experiment further with these techniques, allowing you to discover for yourself the potential of the media in creating drawings and paintings. Thereafter, with step-by-step instructions and guidance from your tutor, you'll learn how to use the techniques taught to build up an image.

Through detailed step-by-step demonstrations, discussions and regular support and encouragement.

A selection of materials will be provided for you to use.
Entry requirements
No formal entry requirements. It is a beginners course for learners who want to learn the basics and have a willingness to experiment.
