About the course

The aim of the course is to produce a decorative sketchbook full of your own creations. The focus will be on experimenting with a range of different media from oil pastels, collage, drawing pencils, watercolour pencils and paint to create colourful and imaginative pieces of art. When needed, step-by-step instructions and guidance will be provided by your tutor, to show you how to use the techniques taught to develop your skills and build up an image.

Through detailed step-by-step demonstrations, discussions and regular support and encouragement.

What you'll need to bring

A selection of materials will be provided for you to use.

Entry requirements

No formal entry requirements. It is a beginners course for learners who want to learn the basics and have a willingness to experiment.
