About the course

The aim of the course is to use the local area as inspiration for our artwork and to create a series of drawings and paintings. There is plenty of scenery to inspire, from Black Combe to Haverigg Harbour. There will be a chance to try different media from oil pastels, drawing pencils, watercolour pencils and paint. Step-by-step instructions and guidance will be provided by your tutor, to show you how to use the techniques taught to build up an image.

Through detailed step-by-step demonstrations, discussions and regular support and encouragement.

A selection of materials will be provided for you to use.

Entry requirements

No formal entry requirements. It is a beginners course for learners who want to learn the basics and have a willingness to experiment.
